The Lodge

	*La Media Lodge* overlooks a 10 acre lake. In the front yard is a natural, free-flowing hot tub that is fed by an artesian well that comes out of the ground year round at 85 degrees. There are five master bedrooms with private baths and both bunk and double beds. Our Cantina overlooks the lake and has become famous for its "Glacier Margaritas". Our lodge and dining room can accommodate 25 guests. The Lodge is decorated and landscaped in Southwestern style.

The cantina area is where the hunters gather after a full day of hunting. Around a crackling fire, the hunters exchange hunting stories and enjoy tasty appetizers such as bacon-wrapped dove breasts, fried quail, and homemade tamales.	The artesian hot tub area is spring fed and a constant 85 degrees year round. An excellent way to soothe those tired muscles, or to just enjoy the serene environment of the Rio Grande Valley.


The hammock area is a relaxing venue to take a well needed siesta before embarking on their afternoon hunt.	The fire pit area is also an area where the hunters can relax while smoking a nice cigar. This is away from the cantina area and more private.

Chef Martin (pronounced Marteen) enjoys preparing Fajita Mignon with Twice Baked Potato and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp.	The Trophy Room offers a great place to relax, play cards or watch TV.

The Lodge is only 40 minutes from Reynosa, Mexico, where shopping and night time entertainment are excellent. South Padre Island and her beaches are only one hour south. Port Mansfield, nationally acclaimed for its sport fishing, is only 45 minutes to the east. Where else can you find such variety? No where but at La Media Lodge. See Directions
