Quail and Dove Hunts

Most guests compare our dove hunts to old Mexico but without the hassle. Several factors work together to produce fantastic numbers of dove.

We are right in the middle of the largest fly-way in South Texas.

Massive acres of brush for nesting and roosting.

Dove Hunts

Whitewing hunts are conducted after 12:00. Coastal Bay fishing trips can be arraigned for the mornings. Cost of the hunt is $385 per gun per day.

First Dove Season: Sept. 24 - Nov. 10

Second Dove Season: Dec. 22 - Jan. 16

Combination dove and quail hunt: $585

This season offers fantastic shooting due to the fact that large numbers of northern doves have been pushed into our area by winter weather in northern states. The cost of this hunt is $385 per day and includes deluxe lodging, meals, bird boys and a complimentary round of sporting clays. There is an additional $35 daily cost for White Wing doves.

Quail Hunts

QUAIL CROP CONDITIONS 2007 / 2008 SEASON
Due to timely Spring rains and an abundance of birds from last season this season is shaping up to be an excellent one! There is a high probability of 2 to 3 hatches! The last 3 years have been on an "up-swing."

South Texas Ranch Hunting at its best. Professional dog handlers and seasoned dogs with South Texas safari style trucks guide you to covey after covey of wild Texas Bobwhites.

Season - November through February. Cost of the hunt is $585 per day and includes deluxe lodging and meals, bird cleaning, dogs, guides and a complimentary round of sporting clays.

Forecast: 8/07 Quail season looks excellent! A prolonged breeding season that is continuing due to a relatively cool summer with abundant, widespread rainfall. This will be the best season since 1991.

Combination Dove and Quail Hunt $585

Five Star Quail Hunt

This separate ranch has been exclusively managed for quail since 1985. Before the 1999-2000 season the ranch was hunted only by the ranchers select friends. I guided on this property last season and put up 25+ coveys per day. Due to intense management practices, predator and habitat control and abundance of water, this ranch consistently produces an abundance of quail year in and year out.
